Question 1. My B. Tech. percentage is 57%. Am I eligible for GATE 2024?
Answer 1. There is no marks criteria in Graduation degree for GATE exam. You have completed B. Tech. degree, you are eligible for GATE Exam.
In order to get admission in any of IIT institute you have to have 60% in your B Tech course. For more details please visit IITs official websites.
This percentage may vary institute by institute and course by course. So first check the requirement of the institute for a particular course before taking any decision.
Question 2. When online registration of GATE 2024 application form will start?
Answer 2. 24th August 2023.
Question 3. Is there is any age limit in GATE 2024 exam?
Answer 3. There is NO age limit in GATE 2024 exam.
Question 4. For how many GATE papers can I apply?
Answer 4. A candidate can apply for only one or two subject out of the 30 subjects listed in GATE 2024 Information brochure.
Question 5. Can I change GATE Examination Paper after submitting application form?
Answer 5. Yes. You would be able to change GATE Examination Paper after submitting application form.
Question 6. Can I change GATE Examination City after submitting application form?
Answer 6. Yes. You can change GATE Examination City after submitting application form.
Requests for changing of GATE examination city will be accepted after submitting GATE 2024 application form.
For this you have to pay a fee of Rs. 400/-(four hundred only) to be paid online using GOAPS.

As per GATE 2019 Office Information :
“The receipt of SMS and Email OTPs by the candidates is taking a little longer time, as the number of applicants using the GOAPS site is drastically increased for the past two days. Therefore, requests the candidates to go ahead with filling the application and payment without waiting for the OTP verification. The OTP verifications can be done even after the payment.”

i have uploaded appendix A required for eligibility but i forgot to mention final year but as i am appearing for gate 2018 and in this form it is clearly mentioned the day,date and year… when it is filled ..will it cause any problem ??

A candidate has completed one of the qualifying examinations as mentioned above in 2016 or earlier, he/she has to submit the degree certificate/provisional degree certificate/course completion certificate/membership certificate issued by the society or institute.

There are some restriction while you apply in different branch other than your graduation branch.

Although it is not a wise decision because a large number of candidates appear for EC GATE paper compare to IN GATE paper.

Hello renu,
There are some rules defined by GATE office about what subject you can choose for GATE exam.
As per that rule you can choose only subject related to your stream for attending GATE exam if there is no any subject which meet with your graduation subject then you can choose subject related to your graduation subject but there is Physics in GATE syllabus already.

I have applied for obc certificate that I don’t know whether I got or not obc certificate… So by applying in psu if I give obc and in case not produce certificate than they consider me in general or I rejected?
