Question 1. While filling the GATE 2024 online application form, I have done some Mistakes. How do I correct them?
Answer 1. As per GATE 2024 office:
GATE 2024 organizing Institute divided mistakes in two categories :
- Minor Mistakes
- Major Mistakes
1# For minor mistake(s) correction candidate need to send email to their Zonal GATE Office.
2# For major mistake(s) correction candidate need to file a new application with a new email address (mobile number can be same) and fill form correctly this time.
Try first one and send mail to your Zonal GATE Office. If you think this is not working then you have to choose second option of filing new application form before closing date of GATE 2024 application form.
Please note that no refund will be made for the incorrect application.
Question 2. By mistake I have forgot to write my last name. What to do now?
Answer 2. As per GATE 2024 office:
Applicants can make correction in their “Name” when Time window will open for correction on GOAPS portal.
#Note : Time window for correction on GOAPS portal by candidate Tentatively, From 18/10/2023 to 24/11/2023.
Question 3. I have selected a wrong paper, e.g., I have selected EC in my application and actually want to write EE. What should I do?
Answer 3. As per GATE 2024 office:
Applicants can make correction with fee in their “Exam Paper” when Time window will open for correction on GOAPS portal.
#Note : Time window for correction on GOAPS portal by candidate Tentatively, From 18/10/2023 to 24/11/2023.
Question 4. I want to change my category. Can it be done?
Answer 4. As per GATE 2024 office:
Applicants can make correction with fee in their “Category” when Time window will open for correction on GOAPS portal.
#Note : Time window for correction on GOAPS portal by candidate Tentatively, From 18/10/2023 to 24/11/2023.
Question 5. I want to make a change in my gender. Can it be done?
Answer 5. As per GATE 2024 office :
Applicants can make correction with fee in their “Gender” when Time window will open for correction on GOAPS portal.
#Note : Time window for correction on GOAPS portal by candidate Tentatively, From 18/10/2023 to 24/11/2023.
Question 6. After submission of application, am I permitted to change my GATE Examination City?
Answer 6. As per GATE 2024 office :
Applicants can make correction with fee in their “Examination City” when Time window will open for correction on GOAPS portal.

In my GATE application form downloaded after making payment, the name of my institute is not appearing correctly (under the section qualifying details). The word ‘Technology’ is missing from the name of my institute. How can i rectify this mistake? Will this cause any problem thereafter?

If you have finally submitted GATE 2018 application then you can not.
You can not even get correct by sending mail to GATE 2018 office. Because it not a minor issue as per GATE 2018 office.

Sir in my gate 2018 id it is shows that my application has been accepted and name is as it is as it was. But i already mailed them with proper documents what should i do. I haven’t received a reply yet from them.

This is a major mistake you must correct it if you have not finally submitted your GATE 2018 application form finally.

While filling the GATE 2018 application, please take utmost care to fill all the fields, save and verify the filled in details before clicking “Submit and Proceed to Payment” button.
Once application is submitted, you cannot change any of the details entered.

for the corrections i sent the corrections to my zonal gate office nd today i got the mail that the corrections will me made …so my this problem is solved but the problem of payment is still there i have made the payment nd waited for 72 hours but it still showing the same not yet recieved msg..so have no options instead of paying again..i just want to know whether my extra payment will be refund by gate or not if yes then what steps i have to take for this
