What is GATE 2024?
GATE 2024 is the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, which is a national level examination conducted for admission to postgraduate courses in engineering, technology, and architecture.
Who conducts GATE 2024?
GATE 2024 is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
What is the eligibility criteria for GATE 2024?
The eligibility criteria for GATE 2024 is that the candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or a Master's degree in any relevant science subject. Final year students can also apply.
What is the application fee for GATE 2024?
The application fee for GATE 2024 is yet to be announced. However, for GATE 2022, the application fee was Rs. 1500 for General/OBC/EWS category candidates and Rs. 750 for SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates.
When will the GATE 2024 application process begin?
The GATE 2024 application process is expected to begin in September 2023. However, the official dates are yet to be announced.
What is the exam pattern for GATE 2024?
GATE 2024 is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The question paper consists of 65 questions worth 100 marks. There will be both multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.
What is the syllabus for GATE 2024?
The syllabus for GATE 2024 is based on the undergraduate curriculum of the respective discipline. The detailed syllabus can be found on the official GATE website.
When will GATE 2024 be conducted?
The dates for GATE 2024 are yet to be announced. However, GATE is usually conducted in February every year.
What is the validity of GATE score?
The validity of GATE score is three years from the date of announcement of the results.

Yes, several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) use GATE score for recruitment of engineers. However, the eligibility criteria and selection process vary for each PSU.

Currently I am working in L&T Limited and I want to join PSU. In Gate-2015 I was having 2105 Rank, but it’s of no worth. Please suggest how could I get top 100 rank if I could only give 4 hours a day.

As you said you have qualifies gate in 2015 with 2105 AIR then 4 hour a day would be enough.
What you need to do is work hard in right direction.
This time start your GATE 2016 preparation by solving GATE previous 20-30 questions precisely.
Solve as much as problems. Always prefer standard books and solve question given at the last of each chapter of book.
