PSU Syllabus 2024 – Nowadays many PSUs are recruiting through GATE score but still there are many PSUs & Govt. Organizations which are conducting their own exam.
DMRC, BEL, SAIL, BSNL, DRDO, ISRO, SSC, Indian Railways & many more organizations recruit Executive Trainees / Graduate Trainees / Management Trainees / Junior Engineer / Senior Engineer without GATE.
Their selection process generally consists of two stages written examination and then personal interview and/or group discussion.
Normally PSUs doesn’t reveal a particular syllabus and paper pattern for examinations. So candidates always be in confusion about paper pattern & syllabus for each exam they face.
In order to keep this thing in mind we created this post. Here we will provide a general idea about paper pattern & syllabus for almost all PSUs exam preparation.

During off-line examination each candidate have an OMR sheet along with question paper.
Candidate have to fill circles in OMR sheet using boll point pen against each question which have four options (a, b, c & d) and only one of the given options is correct.
For every correct answer candidate will be awarded with 1 mark (generally) and for each wrong answer 0 to 0.33 marks (generally) would be deducted from total marks scored by the candidate.
Candidates are therefore advised to ensure adequate care before answering any question and also before filling any circle in OMR sheet.
2. PSU Exam Dates 2024
Exam dates for PSUs which are not recruiting through GATE are throughout the year but generally occurs in the month of May to September because PSUs want to include final year candidates too in their selection process.
So this period is best for including final year students because their final exams just finished and they can apply to such vacancies and prepare for them.
3. PSU Paper Pattern 2024
Written examination of the PSUs which are not recruiting through GATE generally consists of the following sections :

1. PSU Syllabus 2024: Technical Knowledge
Syllabus for Technical Knowledge section generally followed by PSUs is the syllabus of either IES or GATE.
So here we are requesting all aspirants which are preparing for PSUs follow IES syllabus for branches Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Candidates should follow either IES exam syllabus or follow GATE exam syllabus.
These two exams are the most popular exams so generally question paper designer follow the syllabus of these two exams for engineering level examinations.
90% of the technical question asked in PSU examinations would be of basic in nature.
So we are suggesting all aspirants preparing for any PSU or State / National level examination for both Diplomas in engineering and Degree in engineering level must first prepare basis of each subject.
Most of the questions asked in examination are directly based on formula and basic definitions. Candidates may either follow their classroom notes / any coaching study material / self prepared notes but always try to summarize them so that you can revise quickly during last time of preparation.
However PSUs asked basic questions but sometime you may face unpredictable questions.
Don’t bother with them much, no one is going to solve 100% question of the paper. Instead of wasting your precise time during examination in such questions invest your time in other questions which you can solve easily and quickly.
