NEET-UG 2024 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) is prepared to administer the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 on Sunday, May 5. This significant examination will see participation from over 24 lakh candidates in 557 cities across India and 14 international cities. The NEET-UG will run from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM, lasting a total of 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Exam Guidelines

The NTA has established strict guidelines to ensure fairness and integrity during the examination:

  • Prohibited Items: Candidates are not allowed to bring stationery, communication devices, accessories, eatables, or ornaments. Any material not related to the exam is also banned.
  • Impersonation and Malpractices: Impersonation, any form of cheating, or assisting others in cheating is strictly prohibited.
  • Writing Restrictions: Candidates must write only on the answer sheet provided, and no tearing of any part of the test booklet or answer sheet is allowed.
  • Communication: Interaction with anyone other than exam staff during the exam is forbidden.
  • Document Security: Candidates are barred from manipulating or smuggling out exam materials, including question papers and OMR sheets.
  • Electronic Devices: The use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited within the examination center.

Allowed Items

  • Water Bottle: Candidates may bring a personal transparent water bottle.
  • Photograph: An additional photograph, identical to the one uploaded on the application form, should be pasted on the attendance sheet.
  • Admit Card: Must be a clear printout on A4 size paper with a postcard-size photograph affixed in the designated space.
  • PwD Certificate: If applicable, along with scribe-related documents.

Bio-Break Rules

  • Timing Restrictions: No bio-breaks are permitted during the first hour or the last half hour of the examination.
  • Security Measures: Candidates will undergo frisking and biometric verification before and after any bio-break.

Dress Code

For Males:

  • Wear short-sleeved shirts or T-shirts without pockets, zippers, or elaborate buttons.
  • Opt for simple trousers or pants.
  • Footwear should be light slippers or sandals without covers.

For Females:

  • Choose simple clothing like half-sleeved Kurtis or shirts without embroidery, frills, or layers.
  • Avoid all jewelry.
  • Footwear should be slippers or open sandals; no boots, heels, or covered shoes are allowed.

These guidelines are designed to maintain the decorum and integrity of the examination process.

Candidates are advised to reach their examination centers well in advance to avoid any last-minute rush and to ensure compliance with all entry protocols.
