prepare Comprehension, Short Essay, Usage & Vocabulary, Report Writing and Precis Writing as mentioned in the notification.
Choose any good book of English and start your preparation for these topics mainly.
As this paper is qualifying in nature. So you need not to worry much about it.
Spend 2-3 hours daily would be enough for this subject.

Date of NPC main exam & BIS exam is same 18.10.2015.
But both departments are completely different there is no connection in between them. So there is very less change that any of these will alter their exam dates. So prepare well for exam which you want to prepare mainly.

I just wanted to confirm if MCAs are also eligible for this post as the notification says ‘Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent’.
I am also pursuing DOEACC A level.
I have successfully registered for this post but now getting little confused as I updated my educational details (additional notification published on the website later) after the due date. And they mentioned in the mail that the applications will be rejected if these details are not updated within the specified time, but I am still able to download my admit card till date.
This is so confusing.
Shall I go to attempt this exam or not, whether my application has been rejected or what??
Their helpdesk email id has also been deactivated.
It would be really embarrassing to know that I am carrying a rejected application form at the exam venue. 🙁

After many years NPC is conduction exam so there is no such record available anywhere right now which can give you the details about cut-offs.
Generally for mains most of the Institutes choose 20:1 ratio. Its also depends upon pre exam cut off if defined by institute which is conducting exam i.e., NPC in this case.
