UGC NET Official Website – December, 2022 – University Grants Commission (UGC), National Eligibility Test (NET) (UGC-NET) is an all India examination. UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility for “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship” in Indian universities and colleges. The Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD), Government of India (GOI), has established National Testing Agency (NTA). The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting UGC-NET to NTA.

UGC NET is run and performed collectively by National Testing Agency (NTA). National Testing Agency (NTA) is an Indian government agency that has been approved by the Union Council of Ministers and established in November 2017 to conduct entrance examinations for higher educational institutions.

(1) Candidates have to apply for UGC NET December, 2022 examination using online mode only.
(2) UGC NET December, 2022 registration will be started from the 1st week of September, 2022.
(3) UGC NET December, 2022 registration will be end till the 1st week of October, 2022.
(4) Candidates have to register through “Registration Form” for UGC NET December, 2022 examination registration.
(5) After successful registration candidates will be assigned “Application Number”.
(6) While filling UGC NET December, 2022 application form candidates need to upload passport size photograph and signature in prescribed file size, dimensions, and file format (preferably JPG/JPEG format).

UGC NET December, 2022 Eligibility
Eligibility to appear for UGC NET December, 2022 exam is as follows :
| General Category | At least 55% marks in Master’s degree. OR equivalent in Humanities and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science. |
| SC/ST/OBC Category | At least 50% in Master’s degree. OR equivalent in education domains mentioned for general category. |
| Candidates holding Doctorate Degree | An additional 5% marks relaxation for candidates who completed the PG program by 19th September 1991. |

UGC-NET is a test to determine the eligibility for “Assistant Professor” and “Junior Research Fellowship” in Indian universities and colleges. There are two main purpose of attending UGC NET exam (1) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and (2) Assistant Professor (AP) using UGC NET score card.
