[2024-2025]
GATE 2023 Papers Selection – GATE examination conducted in 29 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) by an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT). A candidate can choose any one or two of the following listed subjects. A candidate is expected to choose papers that are relevant to his / her qualifying Degree. Ultimately, candidates are free to choose any one or two of the 29 papers as per the combination provided by GATE office.

Note : Candidates opting to appear in TWO subject papers must have primary choice of paper, which will be their default choice and the second choice of paper, which has to be chosen from the allowed combinations.
GATE 2023 does NOT take any responsibility of wrong choices of either primary (first) or second paper as well as both papers by candidate. For change of paper, the candidate has to request for change by paying appropriate fee.

How many papers are there in GATE 2023 exam?
29 Papers
So, candidates planning to appear for GATE 2023 exam must be aware of GATE 2023 Exam Pattern and Syllabus. GATE is conducted for 29 papers and one can attempt any one or two of these papers.
Can we give two GATE papers?
Applicants will get the option to choose 1 or 2 papers in GATE 2023. Applicants will be allowed to choose the second paper from the set of combinations that will be displayed in the information brochure.
What is 2 paper in GATE 2023?
