GATE Rank vs Marks vs Score Analysis – There are many candidates who are attending GATE exam first time in the month of January or February of 2023.
We hope all the GATE 2023 aspirants are preparing well and work hard to get as much as marks possible in GATE 2023 examination.
Some of you candidates would like to join IISc/IITs / NITs/ IIITs for M. Tech. or M. Tech. plus P. HD. programme and some would join PSUs in order to get a job.

Just qualifying GATE doesn’t mean that you are eligible to get admission into any college and any programme or get a call for interview from any PSU. You have to score well enough and clear cut-offs for these. Which is decided by Institute and PSU respectively.
Let’s take a look on previous records of GATE exam. In the year 2017 there were nearly 9 lakh candidates registered for GATE exam and nearly 8 lakh candidates appeared in the exam but only 15.05% candidate qualify GATE 2017 means nearly 1.25 lakh candidates only.
Similarly In the year 2018 there were nearly 10 lakh candidates registered for GATE exam and nearly 9 lakh candidates appeared in the exam but only 16.84% candidate qualify GATE 2018 means nearly 1.5 lakh candidates only.
We can conclude from the above analysis that a candidate must first have to score minimum qualifying marks. So make your GATE preparation plan like you can atleast qualify GATE exam either you are a final year candidate or pass-out.
